Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility cows?

How much milk does a cow produce daily, and do you have to breed a cow in order for it to produce milk? I know in Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life, you get usually 3 milks a day in the early summer. Is it similar to Wonderful life where the amount you get varies, or do you only get one?
