I think that unless the messages you saw were current and showed they were still together then you should put it to the back of your mind, if everything else is good between you and this girl. Yes, maybe she does still have some feelings for this guy, but they broke up, and she chose to see you. I think you shouldn't be too hasty, and maybe mess things up. See how things go.
