When I open a game on my computer my mouse cursor disapears. This only happens when I open games?

I am running on Windows 7 with the 4 Series Express Chipset family by Intel. I am after updating my graphic drivers to the most recent updates. The mouse still works i.e. it can still select and click on objects in games but I cannot see it
