What speakers should i get?

I have a 1994 pontiac grand prix. It has a terrible stereo system... i need something that has good bass but i dont want anything too extravagant or expensive. just want to make my music sound way better. i plan on going to audio express to buy but dont wanna get scammed cuz i have no idea what to get or what to ask... help me out?
